For this week’s main post, we decided to compare and contrast global celebrity style, taking cues from style icons Clémence Poesy, Kate Bosworth and Rachel Bilson.

Clémence Poesy epitomizes Parisian chic. Her looks aren’t always very put together like the one pictured above, but she always embraces her femininity. To get the look, opt for flowy white blouses and wide-leg, high-waisted trousers. For a touch of glamour, pair with a chain-strap compact purse. We styled a Billie Girl in a Robert Rodriguez silk blouse (335$), a Tara Jarmon cropped trouser (225$), SNOB scarf (50$), Margit Brandt bag (245$) and Cynthia Vincent sandals (395$).

London Fashion Week wouldn’t have been complete without some street style pictures of Britain’s latest style icon, Kate Bosworth. In my opinion, she is the celebrity with the best all-around style. Sporting one of spring’s most coveted items, a denim jumpsuit, she keeps her cool with a simple chain and Ray Bans. Our version of the look comprises of a Robbi & Nikki denim combo (top: 220$, shorts: 150$) paired with Filippa K wedge sandals (225$) and a Linea Pella tote (475$).

Rachel Bilson might just be the current emblem of young american style. Her looks are usually laid back and California-inspired: boyfriend jeans or cargo pant, gladiator sandals or suede booties and a relaxed tee are her favorite staples. As for her purse, she usually opts for bohemian inspired or one of her many No.55 Chanel bags. We recreated her look with Paige’s Jimmy Jimmy Skinny jeans (242$), a Nation t-shirt (90$), topped with a Margit Brandt blazer (205$), ASH clogs (225$), a Graham & Spencer purse (395$) and a Robert Rodriguez statement necklace (298$).

Bien que j’honore la beauté de mon sapin artificiel (soucis d’épines et d’incendie en moins) depuis trois semaines déjà et que mes cadeaux soient entièrement achetés (j’en suis fière et je l’avoue), ce n’est que depuis quelques jours que je ressens réellement la venue de Noël, ainsi que la fébrilité des gens face à cet événement annuel.
Depuis la semaine dernière, à la boutique, plusieurs femmes se bousculent et s’arrachent les petites robes de Noël. Toutes ébouriffées et quelques cheveux en moins, elles ressortent malgré tout satisfaite de leur achat et ayant la certitude d’avoir choisi la parfaite tenue du temps des fêtes. C’est exactement à ce moment précis où les femmes commencent à magasiner l’une après l’autre leur tenue pailletée, veloutée, satinée et ajourée que je réalise vraiment que nous y sommes arrivées. Noël est là, et nous attend arriver à lui toutes aussi belles que nous sommes.

Petites, je me souviens avoir apprécié ces moments où, dans mon excitation enfantine, j’attendais Noël dans ma petite robe de velours et de dentelles, mes collants blancs, mes souliers de cuir vernis, mes boudins et mes rubans. Toute la journée durant, j’avais assisté ma mère aux derniers préparatifs de nos beautés. Après avoir pressée ma robe, polis mes souliers, pris mon bain, fait la sieste, m’être coiffée et parfumée, je me sentais fin prête. Ma mère aussi s’était faite belle, ainsi que ma petite sœur. Nous étions toutes parfaites pour accueillir Noël. Quels doux souvenirs!
Aujourd’hui, l’art de la préparation n’a pas tellement changé pour moi. Je m’attarde toujours autant à essayer d’être parfaitement mises pour l’événement. J’avoue qu’avec un emploi du temps à peine plus chargé que dans mon enfance, il est dans mon intérêt de planifier bien à l’avance ce que je porterai pour l’avant et le jour J. De cette façon, j’ai le loisir de pouvoir prendre mon bain, faire la sieste, me coiffer, me maquiller et me parfumer tout l’après-midi si ça me dit. De cette façon, je suis certaine d’être fraîche et dispose quand viendra le temps de dire Joyeux Noël aux gens que j’aime!
En fait, que vais-je porter pour Noël cette année?
